1A 'Da Camara'
Exceptionally rare and stunning José Ramírez 1a ‘Da Camara’ in near mint condition.
The José Ramirez 1A is well renowned for it’s glorious tone, coveted by many players in search of that classic ‘Madrid’ guitar sound. This model is crafted from premium Western red cedar and Indian Rosewood back/sides; a pairing that was pioneered and made famous by José Ramirez III back in the 1960’s. The Ramirez 1A Model has become somewhat synonymous with the highly sought after Madrid tone, yet the ‘Da Camara’ model goes one step further in delivering an impeccable sonic experience.
The distinctive yellow dot on the headstock signifies this is a rare ‘Da Camara’ model, featuring a unique internal wooden shelf designed to eliminate ‘wolf’ notes for a purer sound. Taming the wolf notes delivers a more balanced and even dynamic experience, with no unexpected high/low spots and no sudden breathy/hollow sounding notes. Perfectly even in tone and dynamic right across the entire tonal spectrum.
This guitar comes with a Hiscox Pro II case. Originally purchased for £7,000 by it’s owner a decade ago, this guitar remains in immaculate condition. This rare ‘Da Camara’ 1A is priced below market value for a quick sale.
