Antonio Picado set up his workshop over 40 years ago in picturesque Berga, a province in Catalonia just north of Barcelona in Spain.

Before his retirement, Antonio Picado's workshop produced around 20 guitars a month, with the dilligent help of long time assistants Ángel Genis and Carlos Prat. Now that Antonio has retired, Ángel and Carlos run the workshop themselves, but maintain the 'Antonio Picado' brand name in tribute to their mentor of many years. In this sense, not much has changed since Antonio opened the workshop over 40 years ago. The same attention to detail, care and passion goes into each and every instrument produced at the workshop. Such is the reputation for excellence, master luthiers such as Otto Vowinkel entrust Antonio Picado to produce his 2A range of guitars.

We’re absolutely delighted to reintroduce Antonio Picado guitars back to the UK. We believe they offer outstanding value for money, with customers always being impressed by their voice, projection and overall quality.

Quite simply, we love these guitars! They’re immaculately finished, which is indicative of the great care and attention these guitars experience during the building process. The general character of these guitars is one that is both bold and clear. A huge, full bass voice is complemented by a singing, bell like treble voice. These guitars are all full sounding and wonderfully musical.
