Modelo 5

The Modelo 5 is Paulino Bernabé’s most affordable offering, at the entry point into his concert guitar range. A fine balance of high quality woods and superior craftsmanship at a sensible price point.

While the tonal refinement increases as you ascend Bernabé’s line—marked by greater clarity and richness—the Modelo 5 retains the distinctive Bernabé character. Top quality woods are used in all Bernabe guitars. As he once remarked: “it takes almost as much time to build an estudio model as it does a top concert model, so why waste time building a guitar of inferior materials?” The Modelo 5 delivers the bold, firm Spanish sound with impressive volume, clarity and projection that has solidified Bernabé’s status as a master luthier worldwide.

This secondhand model is in excellent condition, with very few signs of wear. The original string beads have been used since construction, meaning zero wear is evident on the tie block. A fine example of an affordable concert style instrument and a great introduction to the world renowned tonal character of Bernabe guitars. The Modelo 5 was discontinued in 2017 to focus on the higher end Bernabe models. These fine guitars are rarely available and represent excellent value for money.
